Insight Systems Announce 200-Mile Bike Ride to Paris for British Heart Foundation

14th December 2023

Insight Systems, based in Kent, a leading office solutions company, is excited to announce its upcoming charity event to support the British Heart Foundation. The event, a gruelling 200-mile bike ride from Insight Systems Head Office to the Eiffel Tower in Paris to be completed in just 24 hours, aims to raise funds and awareness for the life-saving work carried out by the British Heart Foundation.

By embarking on this challenging journey, the company aims to raise awareness about heart health, fund life-saving research, and support individuals and families affected by heart disease.

The event will take place as follows:

Date: Friday 7th June 2024

Duration: 24 hours

Starting Point: Insight Systems, Nepicar Park, Wrotham, UK

Ending Point: Eiffel Tower, Paris, France

On 7th June 2024, this epic cycling challenge will see three brave team members and supporters embark on a journey of endurance, determination, and philanthropy. The team of 3 dedicated riders will depart from Insight Systems Head Quarters in Wrotham and traverse the picturesque English and French countryside, culminating in a triumphant arrival at the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris.

The 200-mile journey from London to Paris in just 24 hours is a true test of physical and mental endurance. Our team of esteemed colleagues taking on this challenge include keen cyclists – Matthew Sayer and Jason Swift and our London Marathon 2023 participant – Matthew Fassett, who will each push their limits to raise funds for this great cause.

Insight Systems has set an ambitious fundraising goal. Donations, however small, are gratefully received via JustGiving, with all proceeds going directly to the British Heart Foundation. Each participant will have an individual JustGiving page, however, if you would like to donate in the meantime, please head over to the Insight System JustGiving page.

Ellen McCulloch, Operations Director at Insight Systems, expressed excitement about the event, saying,

“We are thrilled to embark on this incredible journey in support once again of the British Heart Foundation. Each year we try to come up with a challenging activity or event to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, our chosen charity on behalf of loved ones who have passed. This year’s challenge holds a special meaning to our whole team as it will be held in memory of our dear friend and colleague, Sally Jones, who sadly passed away suddenly from heart failure just a few months ago, in June 2023. We are proud to contribute to the research and support efforts of this esteemed charity. Our team is ready to tackle this daunting challenge and make a real difference.”

We’ll be posting updates of the team’s training and progress in the run-up to the start line on our social media pages using #Insight2Paris – be sure to follow us on LinkedIn and Facebook.
